Now that 2011 is in full swing, it’s time to start acting on those New Year’s Resolutions. If spending more time at the gym sounds like a familiar one, stop making excuses and start getting healthy! It’s definitely hard to find the time, especially with little ones, but it can be done.
Try and find a gym with a nursery where you can feel comfortable leaving your child while you work off the holiday feast you are still digesting. If your gym doesn’t have that option and weather permits, take a walk or run with your stroller. Not only are you getting in your cardio, but your child gets fresh air and it’s time well spent together. Another great option is to work out a plan with a friend where you watch each other’s children for a few hours each week, allowing for alone time. It’s free and you have a person you know and trust watching your little one.
Aside from helping you look good, working out has many benefits such as improving your mood, helping you sleep better and helping to combat chronic diseases, just to name a few.
