July Parenting Tip: Smart, Very Smart

Dinnertime can be a challenging time in many households. In my home, the scenario is pretty typical: kids are cranky and hungry, dinner needs to be prepared and cooked, table needs to be set, and I am running on empty. As moms, we are gifted with the ability to multitask, but when we discover an opportunity to cut back, we jump on the bandwagon. Here is a great time saver that I use pretty much every day.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have your table already set for you when dinner is ready to be served? When I am cleaning up from breakfast or preparing my lunch, I set the table, so when dinnertime arrives, it’s one less task on my mealtime list. I even fill up sippy cups and leave in the fridge for easy access later on. This trick saves me time and even if it’s five minutes, I’ll take it!
