As seen on the Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine Blog:
I knew I was going to like this book even before I opened to the first page. Any book that teaches children a positive message and helps parents to deliver that message, is a winner in my book. I was visually attracted to the book at first glance and found the color of the cover to be very attractive and eye catching. I also thought the illustrations throughout the story were bright and inviting. Suppose You Meet A Dinosaur introduces us to two characters, one being a Dinosaur representing what I believe to be a Grandma aged woman, and a cute little girl.
The story takes place at the grocery store and each page takes us through a different scenario where the characters are faced with different challenges. The reader is then asked to figure out what the proper response is using their knowledge of manners. The format of the book is a great way for parents to interact with their children and allow them to come up with the answers instead of just reading it to them.
Suppose You Meet A Dinosaur is a relatable and a fun way for children to learn good etiquette and helps them to understand how they can use their manners in different situations. Parents can feel good about what they are reading to their children before bedtime. My children enjoyed reading this book and I recommend it for your children as well.
