I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Music is truly magical! I believe that so strongly that as you know, I used it as the title of my children’s CD, “Music is Magical, Children’s Songs with Ellie”, (a Parents’ Choice Award winner).
Music in a child’s life is so important for their growth and development. According to theNational Association for Music Education, “early interaction with music positively affects the quality of all children’s lives. Successful experiences in music help all children bond emotionally and intellectually with others through creative expression in song, rhythmic movement, and listening experiences. Music in early childhood creates a foundation upon which future music learning is built.”
I have been exposing my kids to music since they were in my belly. We have been singing together, learning through music and enjoying car dance parties for many years. They are even on my CD. I am so grateful that my boys love music as it has been a very special part of my life that I have been able to share with them.
Do not ignore your child’s interest in music because it can lead to such amazing things for their future. To be able to express themselves through music is, well…magical.
Recently, my kids have expressed an interest in playing the guitar, which I think is so cool. Finding a local outlet for them to learn, practice AND purchase is rare, but if you are in the Tampa area, it’s a reality that we are all very excited about. Introducing Replay Guitar Exchange.
I know what you are thinking…okay, this is a sponsored post about a business so this is where I tune out. Yes, I have recently partnered with Replay Guitar Exchange but if you tune out now, you will miss out now and that’s the truth. I think by now you know me as a trusted resource and know that I don’t promote anything I don’t believe in. You also know that when it comes to my children, only the best will do, which I’m guessing is how you feel as well.
The reason why I partnered with Replay Guitar Exchange is because of the reaction I had when I entered their store for the first time. Actually, the words, “Wow,” flowed from my mouth as I looked all around at what seemed like a guitar candy store. The amount of instruments on the walls, the variations of colors and designs and just the sheer magnitude of the space left me in awe. In fact, when I took my boys there, their reactions were exactly the same as mine. I knew then that I had to share this business with all of you and of course your children.
Stunning right? Wait till you see the rest. It’s 6,000 sq. ft. of musical beauty!
Located in South Tampa at the Britton Plaza Shopping Center, Replay Guitar Exchange aims to be the center of guitar playing activity in Tampa Bay, providing everything guitar players need. It will transform the way people buy and sell musical instruments and it will be a competitive choice for people who want to purchase new, used and vintage guitars from a highly reputable online seller.
Replay Guitar Exchange features new, used, and vintage acoustic, electric, and bass guitars as well as amplifiers, pedals, accessories and related pro-audio equipment. They literally carry everything a guitarist needs to learn, play, practice, perform, and record in one convenient location.
The space is the concept of Tampa resident, Kyle Bailey. He created the concept of Replay Guitar Exchange because of his son who had an early love for playing the guitar. When he was ready to trade in his beginner, inexpensive guitar, there wasn’t a clear option for what to do with it. The hassle of selling it himself was not appealing and there wasn’t already a place here in Tampa where he could trade it in and give another child the chance to fall in love with the guitar as well.
Kyle wants to “provide a way for people to upgrade their musical instruments without feeling like they are losing all the value of the instruments they played in the past. Or, if they have a guitar they seldom play, we will give them cash for it and make it available to someone who wants it. At Replay Guitar Exchange, we are happy to see people walking in the door with instruments they want to sell or trade for a new or gently used instrument. He says,“We want customers for life. Accepting trades helps us develop long-term relationships with musicians of all abilities. We want people to come back to see what’s new in the store, hang out and stay in touch.”
We were so lucky to have Dave Haley, Acoustic Guitar Specialist, give us a tour of the facility. The kids LOVED him and he was so great about letting them test out the merchandise. I always say, “Look with your eyes and not your hands,” but in this case, as long as the kids asked, they were allowed to jam with a variety of guitars and other instruments. They had a blast!
Replay Guitar Exchange is Tampa’s new haven for guitar players from beginners to rock stars. It’s very exciting that my kids may become one of those rock stars and they can’t wait to start their lessons soon.
Replay Guitar Exchange offers fun and instructional private music lessons for kids ages five and up and adults of any age. Hey, it’s never too late to learn to play an instrument, right?
Lessons are available for acoustic & electric guitar, bass guitar, and other fretted instruments such as ukulele, banjo, and mandolin. They also offer drum, piano and voice lessons, teach music theory, ear training and more. All music styles are available including pop, rock, blues, classical and jazz and each student will receive lessons customized for their skill level and interests.
Replay Guitar Exchange provides lessons in their four state-of-the-art, sound-insulated lesson rooms. Each room is equipped with a Mac computer for viewing lesson materials, taking notes, and recording progress. Parents are welcome to hang out in their cozy lounge and enjoy coffee & free wi-fi while they wait. Sounds AWESOME…sign us up!
With their friendly teachers, students will gain the knowledge to help them become a fine musician or singer! Group lessons, music camps, and rock-band style programs will also be offered soon. How cool is that??? My kids cannot wait! Even my husband is excited, especially since his guitar collects dust in our house for lack of basic guitar knowledge. Sorry babe…it had to be said.
TOGETHER WE CAN MASTER MOTHERHOOD™…and MUSIC!
